Our Space for Change exclusive report preview brought together industry leaders to discuss the evolving landscape of workspace provision in the heart of the capital. The seminar explored how we can unlock the full economic potential of the capital’s vast number of secondary offices.
Shabab Qadar (Head of London Research, Knight Frank) kicked off proceedings with a presentation on the report’s key findings, underlining the vital role of high-quality office stock to the economic success of the Central Activities Zone (CAZ).
This was followed by a panel session which explored the Elizabeth line’s impact in fuelling rental growth with occupiers drawn to well-connected hubs, as well as the need for a Retrofit First, Not Retrofit Only approach to meet the workplace expectations of today’s growing businesses. The panel also examined the need for bold planning reform and collaboration to speed up planning decisions and unlock growth.
