London HQ City research preview

22 Oct 2026 to 22 Oct 2026
8:00 am to 10:00 am

Hosted at JLL’s new EMEA headquarters at One Broadgate, this breakfast seminar explored London’s position as a global HQ destination and what the capital must do to maintain its competitive edge, drawing on findings from London Property Alliance’s forthcoming London HQ City research.

Following a keynote address from Howard Dawber OBE, Deputy Mayor of London for Business & Growth, attendees heard an overview of the research’s key data and findings from Centre for London. A panel of industry leaders and policymakers then explored changing occupier expectations, the growing demand for high-quality workspace and the challenges of delivering the next generation of London offices.

The discussion highlighted the importance of access to talent, connectivity and London’s diverse business clusters in attracting global headquarters, alongside the role of housing, transport, culture and quality of life. Panellists also explored the pressure on the supply of best-in-class workspace and the impact of development viability on bringing forward new offices.
