London HQ City research launch

22 Oct 2026 to 22 Oct 2026
8:00 am to 10:00 am

This breakfast seminar will launch LPA’s upcoming report, London HQ City, produced in partnership with Centre for London. The research examines London’s position as a destination for global headquarters and the factors shaping HQ location decisions today.

In 2019, London and the wider Southeast hosted the European headquarter offices of 55% of the world’s largest 500 companies. As businesses navigate changing economic conditions, evolving workplace requirements and increasing global competition for talent, what factors are shaping headquarters location decisions today?

Drawing on exclusive leasing data from JLL and occupier insights, the report examines London’s current appeal as an HQ location and explores the factors influencing decisions to establish, retain or relocate headquarters in the capital.

Hosted at JLL’s new EMEA headquarters at One Broadgate, this recently completed development within British Land’s Broadgate campus provides nearly 550,000 sq ft of best-in-class office space. Located a short walk from the Elizabeth line at Liverpool Street station, the building combines strong connectivity and high sustainability principles, achieving a BREEAM Outstanding rating.

Thank you to our research sponsors: Berkeley Estate Asset Management, BGRE, British Land, Central District Alliance, Charles Russell Speechlys, CO—RE, Derwent London, JLL (data partner), Lazari, London Heritage Quarter and Opportunity London.
