LPA reaction to the Spring Budget 2024

06 Mar 2024

In response to the Spring Budget 2024, London Property Alliance Chief Executive, Charles Begley said:

“The Chancellor’s support for investment into life sciences is welcome. Our own research has shown that greater public and private sector partnership is needed to fulfil the UK’s potential as a global superpower in this high-growth industry, with the property industry already providing world-class lab and associated workspace across the capital.

“It is disappointing that the Budget has not been used as an opportunity to restore tax-free shopping for tourists given the very clear economic benefits for the country, and we urge the Government to rectify this as soon as possible if it is serious about generating growth.”
