The annual NextGen Summer Social brought together young property professionals from across the CPA and WPA networks to learn about the art of networking, and the value of building meaningful peer networks and industry connections. The event was hosted by the Alliance’s NextGen champion Gardiner & Theobald.
In her keynote address, LPA Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee Co-Chair and WPA Board Member Katy Ghahremani (Partner, Make Architects) shared fresh, relatable insights on the power of networking. She encouraged attendees to:
- Rethink networking as a fun and friendly opportunity to build genuine relationships
- Recognise the value of cultivating and maintaining diverse and varied networks
- Embrace collaboration as a spark for innovation
This Summer Social included interactive networking questions and two creative workshops hosted by Hive Curates and the Architectural Association; and speeches from CPA NextGen committee member Olivia Bestwick (Associate, Gardiner & Theobald) and WPA NextGen Chair Rupert Calvert (Project Director, Darling Associates).
The CPA and WPA NextGen programmes support and champion the next generation of industry leaders in the City and West End’s property industries.
