Over 200 guests attended our UKREiiF Evening Reception to mark the publication of our forthcoming report, Social Value in the Built Environment.
Guests were welcomed by LPA Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee member, Wesley Ankrah (Director of Social Value, Savills), who highlighted the key findings from the report.
In a keynote address, Policy Chairman Chris Hayward (City of London Corporation), highlighted the business case for social value in development, noting it is a moral obligation as well as a strategic investment. Chris also stressed the importance of maintaining a model of economic prosperity which can promote inclusive growth nationwide.
The reception was closed by Kate Josephs CB (Chief Executive, Sheffield City Council), who echoed Chris’ words and stressed the importance of delivering jobs and economic growth to spread social prosperity, alongside the role of public-private partnership and place in creating social value for communities.
This event was held in partnership with the Institute of Directors (IoD) Property & Built Environment Group and Sheffield Property Association.
