It was a pleasure to welcome so many members and stakeholders to our annual NextGen Summer Social reception.
This year’s reception focussed on diversity, equity and inclusion and the importance of creating a more equitable landscape for young people of all backgrounds.
The 2020 Future Skills research report (commissioned by WPA and CPA NextGen) showed that there is an urgent need to diversify our workforce, as it will help business performance, bring in new ideas and perspectives, and make our sector more reflective of London’s diverse communities. Since then, our NextGen groups have published a series of impactful Diversifying Real Estate guidebooks – providing recommendations on how to make our sector more inclusive on the themes of Gender, Race, Sexuality, Disability and Social Mobility.
Our keynote speaker Cllr Sabrina Francis (Cabinet Member for Young People and Culture at the London Borough of Camden), spoke about the importance of creating a more equitable, diverse and inclusive landscape for young people of all backgrounds, and praised the content and recommendations of the Alliance’s Diversifying Real Estate guidebooks.
This event was hosted by the Alliance’s NextGen champion Gardiner & Theobald.
